Just bought a 964 C2 Cabriolet (1991) and am so far happy - but with niggling doubts in my mind.
Oil appears to be leaking ( v. slowly) from a small bolt in front of the rear right wheel ( oil drain plug on the thermostat). Also, since yesterday evening it would appear that some liquid is leaking from underneath the front of the car, pretty much in the middle, and I have no idea what it even is let alone why it is leaking. Does anyone have any advice on this?
Thanks

If its light oily, could be brake fluid,if its wet probably aircon condense water, this is the most likely, and normal, If its further forward and wet, windscreen/headlamp washer bottle/hoses

The leak in the right hand wheel arch is defo connected to the thermo stat, mayb a rotten pipe or a corroded stat, theres many oil pipes, a lot are steal or rubber and just corrode away with time, the new repalcements are copper (never go bye bye) and new rubber (20 yr at least).
A new stat is £200, they allso corrode (allu) and leak when they do.
The front leak?
Never had a frontal leak!
Either a oil rad or a oil pipe, not much else to leak.

@ Sam - was probably the air-conditioning since didn't have it on yesterday and no dripping. Will keep an eye on it.
@ 964russ - gonna take it to the local Porsche garage and ask them to make me a list of "Must", "Should" and "Could" and get them to have a look at it since I tightened the bolt but this did not seem to help much.

Re: Leaky 964
i had a leak on my thermostat but couldnt see where it was coming from for all the old oil, so put some gunk on and jet washed all the crud off. i could then see the oil weeping through one of the joints between the oil pipe and the thermostat, so changed the ali washer between the joint and its been perfect ever since. Be carefull loosening the oil pipe nut though cos youve got to hold the thermostat with some mole grips and it could easily break. Easy fix, dont worry.
