993 C4 with tiptronic?

Post by ben944 »

Hi All,

Did Porsche ever produce a 993 Carrera 4 with tiptronic? I've seen C2 variants, manual and tiptronic.

I'm not an auto fan but a gen2 997 turbo with DSG and sports chrono is half a second quicker to 60 than the manual

I agree they are quicker, a lot quicker around town.
Off the mark the new double clutch dsg cars are rapid, they change gear so quick.
But its still an auto, even in manual flappy mode, they still change on there own.
Iam stick shift all the way.

But id love my transit with an auto box :)

Hi Russ,

Don't mix you words. :D

No one has still managed to answer my original question. I wasn't really wanting to start a debate on the pro's and con's on tiptronic V manual.

Found the answer. No. Porsche never produced the C4 with a tipronic box. That didn't come until the 996.
