Thames Valley - End of year drive out

I'm thinking of organising a drive out on Sunday 31st December & would like to get an idea of possible numbers. This is NOT a firm commitment on my part or yours; I'm just trying to gauge interest at this point.

The format I am thinking of will be a drive of around 2 hours followed by a pub lunch.

Please reply in this thread if you are interested.

D'oh! Nor can anyone as the 31st isn't a Sunday! I guess it could/should be on Monday 31st. Any takers?

I'm thinking along the lines of an 11am start from The Red Lyon. I have a route (thanks to Craig for this) which I think should be a couple of hours but I have yet to actually drive it - hopefully will do it this weekend. Of course, timing such a long route also depends on several factors:

1) How much traffic - hopefully not be too much on the 31st
2) How committed the attendees are with regard to "making progress" - no worries on that front with Paul & myself!
3) Weather

I covered most of the route yesterday afternoon (100 miles in 2:20) - I think I'll need to modify it a bit.

If I could work up the effort to drive the 2 hrs I'd most definately come along for this! Would love a drive out.

Is it a defo for 11am Monday then?

Going away until Sunday evening today so will catch up then, but letting you know I'm definate and will probably bring along one of the boys.
